Job Requirements
- bachelor's degree in business or logistics preferred
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing, planning, scheduling, or buying experience
- 5-10 years of logistical planning experience
- proficiency with SAP MRP, PP/DS, and R3 modules
- strong analytical skills including statistical and spreadsheet expertise
- proficiency in Excel and Access
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- strong service and customer-oriented attitude

- 5-10 years of experience in a logistics function
- proficiency in SAP MRP, PP/DS, and R3 modules

- strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties
- optimize working capital costs of raw materials, conversion, and finished goods while achieving desired customer service objectives
- develop weekly 4-8 week production requirements with daily detail as required
- conduct weekly scheduling meetings to review previous production performance and gain plant alignment
- communicate schedule changes, maintenance, shutdowns, and training needs affecting production plans
- develop and communicate daily production plans to all departments and update staff as necessary
- be on call 24/7 to manage decisions regarding unplanned downtime and re-scheduling
- develop daily and weekly actual versus scheduled communication and performance reporting
- coordinate initial production requirements for new products with QA and corporate R&D
- maintain standard cost data for all materials and report inventory variances
- analyze and review manufacturing run sizes to improve cost and service balance
- develop daily plans that effectively manage labor and enable plant efficiency targets
- participate in and support plant management efforts for improvements
- maintain open communication with plants and corporate departments
- maintain understanding of all products and production processes
- provide input to Supply Network Planner
- maintain accurate supply planning master data
- manage short term production planning for a plant averaging 8 million inventory investment and 50 million in conversion cost
- procure and manage raw materials inventory
- organize and participate in functional user groups across manufacturing network
