Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training
  • 3 years of experience managing direct reports/employees
  • 3 years of prior management experience and/or equivalent experience
  • Ability to create structure and drive progress in an ambiguous environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to resolve conflicts
  • Strong task organizational skills with adherence to developed business practices
  • Ability to shift focus to new projects as business needs change
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Job Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of FOS and associated systems
  • Prior experience issuing, auditing, and maintaining crew qualifications
  • Knowledge of enterprise Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Prior experience with a Training Management System Mint (TMS)
  • Knowledge of Flight Attendant CBA
  • Prior experience in a regulatory role
  • Prior experience building and managing financial reports
  • Ability to create structure and drive progress in an ambiguous environment

Job Duties

  • Lead a direct team of 26 managers and support staff who support a 7-day operation
  • Responsible for the development and daily operation of a Training Management System (TMS)
  • Responsible for the issuance and management of all FOS crew qualifications, differences training, and qualification indicators such as equipment or special training course work
  • Oversees the daily operation and staffing of the Training Support Desk (TSD) call center
  • Manages all instructor staffing models and monthly/weekly/daily staffing including vacation, sick, and unscheduled open shifts related to IROPs
  • Responsible for building and managing the operational training plan for all training events on a monthly and annual basis in collaboration with Planning and Schedule Production
  • Responsible for building and managing the Operational and Special Assignment annual and monthly budgets
  • Act as a final approver for instructor and trainee hotel invoices, supply ordering, and any ad-hoc purchase requests for the business unit
  • Manages all initial qualification training administrative tasks including training records, learning hub course assignments, work trips, base bids, and FAA certifications
  • Manages the Inflight Training Policies and Procedures Manual (ITAPPM)
  • Supports all irregular operations for initial and recurrent training including flight and hotel rebooking and training rescheduling
  • Participates as a Subject Matter Expert for all qualification audits for the FAA, IEP, DOD, and IOSA
  • Responsible for collaborating with the APFA to research and resolve concerns as it relates to training pay and schedules
  • Coordinate with cross-functional groups such as IT, Finance, Operations, Program Development, and external vendor in support of business objectives
  • Flex to support additional projects and responsibilities, as needed
