Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Three to five years related experience in hospitality preferred
  • One to three years supervisory experience required
  • Current Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification required
  • Must meet state and federal age requirements to serve alcohol
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of restaurant database software a plus
  • Familiarity with county regulations
  • Ability to apply BSRG dining standards
  • Ability to read and interpret food service periodicals
  • Ability to understand standardized recipes
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Effective public speaking skills
  • Ability to calculate food costs, menu pricing, and perform budgetary analysis
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and delegation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must maintain high standards, attention to detail, and timeliness
  • Must demonstrate initiative and make independent decisions
  • Able to handle multiple details in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, occasional travel
  • Valid driver's license

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand profit and loss statements and present capital projects
  • Basic computational and budget analysis skills
  • Planning, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, and employee development skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to maintain high work standards, attention to detail, and timeliness
  • Initiative and sound independent judgment
  • Ability to focus on multiple details in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule availability including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf to support company goals
  • Support the Director with strategic intelligence for all F&B initiatives including vision, business planning, capital expansion, branding, menu/restaurant/clubhouse design, and new F&B experiences
  • Ensure superior standards of food service and quality meeting or exceeding expectations
  • Maintain effective communication regarding F&B operations, safety, and employee concerns
  • Hire, train, and supervise F&B staff
  • create weekly schedules
  • coach and encourage team members
  • Manage cost of goods, labor, and general expenses of F&B operations
  • Establish and manage purchase order programs, departmental checkbooks, contribution reports, and budgets
  • Coordinate with Club Manager to create budgets and goals for sales, revenue, and business development
  • Execute budgets on daily, monthly, and annual basis
  • Create operational reports as requested
  • Oversee all F&B functions including corporate parties and weddings
  • Maintain BSRG standards with continual improvement by attending culinary exhibitions and education seminars
  • Perform other duties as assigned
