Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or engineering
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery
- Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills
- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting and standing for long periods
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Valid driver's license preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in maintenance, engineering or a related field preferably in the hospitality industry
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of safety practices and regulations
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Comply at all times with Peachtree Hospitality Management Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Maintain regular attendance standards in alignment with hotel scheduling
- Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure smooth machine operation and efficient building systems
- Assist with preventative maintenance and complete report work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and patching vinyl
- Assist in checking electrical systems and make minor repairs or replacements
- Conduct routine maintenance and assist on major repairs of hotel equipment including kitchen and laundry equipment, HVAC, boilers, and plumbing systems
- Service the hotel’s pool including chemical adjustment and cleaning filters while maintaining logs
- Maintain building exterior including snow removal, lawn care, painting, trash removal, and gardening
- Refurbish furniture and fixtures inside guest rooms and apply paint or finish as needed
- Respond courteously to guest questions, complaints, and requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction
- Operate heavy machinery as required
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools and reassemble equipment
- Diagnose mechanical problems using blueprints and manuals and determine corrective measures
- Perform maintenance work orders in a timely manner
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding guest room conditions
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas and storage rooms
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Attend all training and meetings as required by management
