Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions including extreme cold, heat, and wind
  • ability to perform repetitive use of hands, grasping and holding tools
  • ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, crouch, twist, and climb stairs extensively
  • experience working with cleaning solvents and hazardous substances safely
  • valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • ability to use personal protective equipment
  • basic computer skills to manage work orders
  • strong communication skills
  • willingness to perform physical labor

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in maintenance, janitorial, or custodial work
  • familiarity with using cleaning chemicals and safety protocols
  • knowledge of snow and ice removal techniques
  • ability to operate company vehicles safely
  • experience with power washing and painting is a plus
  • proficiency in using maintenance management software like Fiix
  • good physical condition and stamina
  • attention to detail and reliability
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

  • Sweep garages and lots including curbs, stairs, walkways, elevators/elevator tracks, expansion joints, and drive lanes
  • wipe down handrails in stairs using company approved cleaning supplies
  • clean windows in structures using company approved cleaning supplies
  • clean and polish trash cans using company approved supplies
  • empty trash cans and install new can liners
  • clean vomit, urine, feces, and blood in a timely manner using company approved supplies and personal protective equipment
  • mop elevators, elevator landings, and other areas as needed using company approved supplies and PPE
  • respond to radio calls in a timely manner
  • safely operate company vehicles and trucks, maintaining an acceptable and clean driving record
  • perform regular structure and lot tours
  • snow and ice shoveling as required
  • remove trash and debris from drive lanes, curbs, walkways, stairs, and other applicable areas
  • clean 911 boxes, signage, and window ledges
  • remove cobwebs in stairwell corners and around light fixtures
  • clean the offices, empty trash, vacuum, dust, wash windows
  • clean restrooms, wash sink, toilet, mop floor, refill paper and sanitary products
  • clean break rooms
  • remove graffiti and perform paint touch up
  • paint areas in the structure, stairwells, bathrooms, office walls
  • complete work orders assigned through Fiix software
  • perform car counts at structures and open lots
  • respond to elevator problems and reset as needed
  • snow removal including shoveling, scraping, and applying mag salt
  • replace light bulbs
  • assist with power washing
  • other duties as assigned
