Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL license at hire
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and GFS standards
- Registered with Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with electronic consent
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Successfully pass drug test including marijuana and background check
Job Qualifications
- High school or equivalent preferred
- One year previous driving experience
- One year experience in customer service or related field
- Class A CDL license required at hire
- Ability to operate on-board computer and handheld scanner
- Ability to operate delivery van and tractor-trailer CMV
- Ability to operate a two-wheeled hand truck with loads up to 350 pounds
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of lifting, pushing, and pulling product
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Punctual and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries of GFS products
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
- Accurately collect customer payments and safeguard company funds
- Perform all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment
- Perform proper equipment maintenance and monitor reefer temperature
- Complete daily check-ins and pre/post trip inspections accurately and on time
- Collaborate with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns
- Manage paperwork including registers, credits, and pick-ups
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other GFS employees
- Attend department meetings and perform other duties as assigned
