Job Requirements
- Nursing degree or LPN program graduation
- Experience directing nursing care and supervising nursing assistants
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local nursing regulations
- Ability to operate oxygen equipment and suction machinery
- Competence in medication delivery and IV administration
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in computer applications and documentation
Job Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Graduate of an approved LPN program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate warmly and professionally with patients, families, and associates
Job Duties
- Direct nursing care for patients
- Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants
- Operate oxygen equipment including maintenance
- Operate suction machine and manual respirator
- Manage emergency equipment and supplies
- Deliver medications including setup, charting, and administration
- Collect and interpret lab specimens
- Administer IV and seizure precautions
- Admit, discharge, and transfer patients
- Document and bill supplies used
- Maintain communication with attending physicians
- Assist in coordinating care planning and committee meetings
- Participate in patient screening and selection process
- Follow up on consultant recommendations
