Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Overnight travel may be required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and wear PPE
  • Must demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Class C driver’s license or state equivalent
  • DOT medical certification
  • Forklift certification (obtained after employment)
  • Commercial TIA certification preferred
  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is a plus
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to use road maps, smartphones, and GPS devices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Reliable and dependable with self-initiative
  • Safety conscious
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints

Job Duties

  • Operate up to a 26-foot truck and deliver commercial tires and wheels class 5 through 8
  • Maintain a safe and clean driving record
  • Execute client delivery schedules, proper loading and unloading, and obtain signed paperwork
  • Maintain cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment inventory levels on the truck and person
  • Assist supervisor with planning routes to ensure efficient deliveries
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure completeness and customer satisfaction
  • Communicate traffic violations, accidents, breakdowns, or delays to management and customers
  • Identify and enter tire casing information using Michelin mobile app, barcode client tires and wheels, provide pick-up documentation
  • Assist with scrap out analysis process when available
  • Interact with customers and personnel daily
  • Conduct pre and post-trip inspections
  • Follow all safety rules and wear proper personal protective equipment
  • Demonstrate excellent attendance and adhere to company policies and values
