Job Requirements
- Experience with 26-foot box trucks or similarly sized vehicles
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and criminal background check
- Clean driving record
- Operate vehicles in compliance with CompostNow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and all local, state, and federal laws
- Availability to start shifts at 3 am and willingness to work rotating Saturday schedules
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Responsible, self-motivated, strong communicator, and adaptable team member
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating 26-foot box trucks or similarly sized vehicles
- Strong communication skills with commitment to regular, constructive team communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physically capable of handling physically active, fast-paced work in various weather conditions
- Demonstrated responsibility and adaptability in past roles
Job Duties
- Drive 26-foot box trucks to service 15-30 local commercial accounts per shift
- Collect 35- and 64-gallon roll carts containing food waste and leave clean, empty carts behind
- Ensure customer's location is clean and free of debris after collection
- Perform pre- and post-trip safety and vehicle checks
- Weigh carts and record cart weights accurately
- Take and maintain detailed service notes
- Maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle throughout shifts
- Return to the CompostNow warehouse to unload trucks at the end of routes
