Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
  • ability to pass company-wide background investigation
  • ability to pass drug screen when applicable
  • ability to lift and carry office and patient equipment weighing up to 65 pounds
  • capability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen as required
  • close vision ability for reading small print on computers, tablets, and paperwork
  • willingness to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, timely fit testing, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face to ensure proper mask seal according to OSHA guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • experience with medical equipment preferred
  • one year of related work experience preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • effective oral and written communication skills in English
  • ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual
  • maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • strong multitasking skills with close attention to detail
  • self-motivated, well-organized with good time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • proficiency in email transmission, internet navigation, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
  • demonstrated ability to load, unload, and secure transported cargo per company policy
  • understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies

Job Duties

  • Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes
  • educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
  • maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
  • complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
  • keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
  • respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
  • ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
