Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen for extended periods
- Ability to read small print on computer, tablet, and paperwork
- Willingness to comply with background check and drug screening requirements
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- Ability to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing compliance, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face as per OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, with time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in email communication and transmission
- Skilled in internet navigation and research
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Competency with office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, and computers or tablets
- Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Knowledge of proper loading, unloading, and tie-down procedures for transported cargo
- Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients’ homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
