Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 65 pounds
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk and listen for extended periods
- Close vision to read small print on computer, tablet and paperwork
- Willingness to comply with background check
- Willingness to comply with drug screening when applicable
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Ability to safely operate a company vehicle
- Willingness to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing and annual recertification
- Ability to keep face clean-shaven to ensure mask seal protection per OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in email transmission and communication
- Skilled in internet navigation and research
- Competent in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machine, copier, printer, phone, computer or tablet
- Mechanically inclined for equipment repair and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of loading, unloading and tie-down procedures as per company policy of transported cargo
- Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies use
Job Duties
- Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Performs other duties as assigned
