Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
  • Successful background check
  • Passing drug screen when applicable
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
  • Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing up to 65 pounds
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen for extended periods
  • Close vision for reading small print on computer or tablet and paperwork
  • Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Ability to load, unload and secure transported cargo according to company policy
  • Willingness to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing, recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face per OSHA guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with medical equipment preferred
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, organized, with good time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in email transmission, internet navigation, and Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties

  • Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
  • Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
  • Keep assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
  • Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
