Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- ability to lift minimum of 65 pounds and transport patient equipment
- compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection & N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face as per OSHA guidelines
- background check
- drug screen when applicable
- compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED equivalent
- experience with medical equipment preferred
- one year of related work experience preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- effective communication skills in English both oral and written
- ability to interpret various forms of communication including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
- able to multitask with attention to detail
- self-motivated, organized with strong time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- proficiency with email, internet navigation, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- mechanically inclined for equipment repair and troubleshooting
- ability to load, unload and properly tie down cargo following company policy
- understanding of applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- available for on-call assignments as needed (after business hours and/or weekends)
- drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- performs other duties as assigned
