Job Requirements
- Background check with individualized assessment
- Drug screen when applicable
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry office equipment
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen for extended periods
- Ability to perform close vision tasks on small print
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
- Willingness to come into contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Ability to drive a company vehicle for most of the workday
- Compliance with Rotech respiratory protection and N95 mask fit testing policy including medical evaluation, annual recertification, and maintenance of a clean-shaven face for mask seal
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information
- Ability to multi-task with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized, with strong time-management and deductive problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient with email communication and internet navigation
- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Familiarity with office equipment such as fax machine, copier, printer, phone, and computers or tablets
- Mechanical aptitude for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Knowledge of proper loading, unloading, and cargo tie-down procedures
- Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
