Job Requirements
- Background check company-wide
- Drug screen when applicable for the position
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record when applicable
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
- Ability to comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing compliance, annual recertification, and maintaining a clean-shaven face per OSHA guidelines
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk, and listen during the workday
- Ability to maintain close vision for reading small print on computer, tablet, and paperwork
- Willingness to have contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Ability to drive a company vehicle for the majority of the workday
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written
- Ability to interpret various forms of communication including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening, and visual
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Self-motivated, organized with good time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with email transmission and communication
- Internet navigation and research skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience using office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, and computers or tablets
- Mechanical aptitude for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Knowledge of loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures for transported cargo
- Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
