Job Requirements
- Background check company-wide
- Drug screen when applicable for the position
- Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable for the position
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record when applicable for the position
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Lift and carry office equipment
- Sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
- Close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
- Lifting minimum of 65 pounds and transporting of patient equipment
- Contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Driving a company vehicle for majority of the workday
- Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation and fit testing compliance, annual recertification, and keeping face clean-shaven to ensure N95 mask face-seal protection per OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment preferred
- One year of related work experience preferred
- Medical terminology preferred
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effectively communicate in English both oral and written
- Interpret a variety of communications verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task along with attention to detail
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Email transmission and communication
- Internet navigation and research
- Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Office equipment including fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
- Mechanically inclined for the repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Successfully demonstrate loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures as per company policy of transported cargo
- Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
