Job Requirements

  • Background check company-wide
  • Drug screen when applicable for the position
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable for the position
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record when applicable for the position
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Lift and carry office equipment
  • Sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Lifting minimum of 65 pounds and transporting of patient equipment
  • Contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
  • Driving a company vehicle for majority of the workday
  • Compliance with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation and fit testing compliance, annual recertification, and keeping face clean-shaven to ensure N95 mask face-seal protection per OSHA guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with medical equipment preferred
  • One year of related work experience preferred
  • Medical terminology preferred
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Effectively communicate in English both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment including fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
  • Mechanically inclined for the repair and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Successfully demonstrate loading, unloading and proper tie down procedures as per company policy of transported cargo
  • Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies

Job Duties

  • Available for on-call assignments as needed after business hours and/or weekends
  • Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
  • Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
  • Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
  • Keep your assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
  • Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned
