Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug screen when applicable
- Comply with healthcare facility credentialing process when applicable
- Ability to lift and carry office equipment
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, talk and listen
- Close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
- Ability to lift minimum of 65 pounds and transport patient equipment
- Willingness to have contact with patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens
- Ability to drive a company vehicle for the majority of the workday
- Meet Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy including medical evaluation, fit testing compliance, annual recertification and maintaining a clean-shaven face as per OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience with medical equipment, preferred
- One year of related work experience, preferred
- Medical terminology, preferred
- Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
- Effectively communicate in English
- both oral and written
- Interpret a variety of communications including verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual
- Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
- Multi-task with attention to detail
- Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in email transmission and communication
- Skilled in internet navigation and research
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience with office equipment such as fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
- Mechanically inclined for repair and troubleshooting of equipment
- Ability to demonstrate proper loading, unloading and tie down procedures of transported cargo
- Understand use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies
Job Duties
- Drive local routes to deliver and set up medical equipment in patients' homes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of respiratory and home medical equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure proper function and patient safety
- Complete delivery documentation and patient visit reports accurately and on time
- Keep the assigned company vehicle clean, safe, and ready for service
- Respond to urgent equipment needs and participate in on-call rotations
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
