Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid LA Class A commercial driver’s license
- Valid medical examiner’s card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications
- Minimum one year of Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years
- Clean driving record with limited convictions or at-fault accidents
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 125 pounds
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to eight hours
- Ability to work occasional overtime
- Ability to comprehend material safety data sheets
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access
Job Qualifications
- Valid LA Class A commercial driver’s license
- Valid medical examiner’s card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications
- One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
