Job Requirements
- Valid TX Class A or B commercial driver's license
- Valid medical examiner's card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications
- Minimum one year of Class A or B professional driving experience within last five years
- Clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in last three years
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds routinely and occasionally over 125 pounds with equipment
- Capacity to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
Job Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications
- At least one year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years or equivalent diploma from accredited driving school
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift between 25 and 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to obtain forklift operator certification
- Strong safety and compliance orientation
- Effective time management skills
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return to plant or branch
- Adhere to Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
- Drive company-provided trucks equipped with modern technology such as GPS navigation and collision avoidance
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with hazardous materials transport requirements
