Job Requirements
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Valid medical examiner’s card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of one year Class A professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
- Age 21 or older
- Ability to pass required medical examinations
- In lieu of driving experience, a diploma from an accredited driving school or combination of driving and Airgas experience may be considered
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A driver’s license
- Valid medical examiner’s card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications or ability to acquire them
- One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years or diploma from an accredited driving school combined with specific experience
- Clean driving record meeting company standards
- Minimum age of 21 years
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
- Touch freight delivery experience preferred
Job Duties
- Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hardgoods along designated routes
- Collect empty cylinders from customers for return to plant or branch locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring safety compliance and noting issues
- Address customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and maintain good customer relations
- Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards
- Load and unload cylinders and goods safely at customer locations
- Work in warehouse or dock areas as needed
