Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A driver’s license
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Card
  • Hazmat and Airbrake certifications or ability to acquire certifications as condition of employment
  • One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years with clean driving record or equivalent combination of convictions and accidents
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • May consider accredited driving school diploma or combination of driving and prior Airgas experience
  • Must be at least 21 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A driver’s license
  • Valid Medical Examiner’s Card
  • Hazmat and Airbrake certifications or ability to acquire them
  • One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years
  • Clean driving record within specified limits
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to operate newer well-maintained equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer service orientation

Job Duties

  • Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes
  • Collect empty cylinders from customers for return to plant or branch for refilling
  • Address customer inquiries and provide timely communication to managers or sales associates
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle checks ensuring safety compliance and noting any issues
  • Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations
  • Establish and maintain good customer relations
  • Assist in warehouse or dock operations as needed
