Job Requirements

  • Must have a valid Class A driver's license
  • Must have a valid medical examiner's card
  • Hazmat and airbrake certifications or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of one year Class A professional driving experience within last five years with an acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Ability to meet physical job demands

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A driver's license
  • Valid medical examiner's card
  • Hazmat and airbrake certifications or ability to acquire as a condition of employment
  • One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in last three years or one conviction and one at-fault accident in last three years
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • May consider accredited driving school diploma or combination of driving and prior Airgas specific experience
  • Must be at least 21 years old

Job Duties

  • Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes
  • Collect empty cylinders from customers
  • Address customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction
  • Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance
  • Present a professional appearance and upkeep vehicle condition
  • Safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
  • Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents ensuring compliance with Airgas safety standards and government regulations
  • Work in warehouse or on dock as needed
