Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A driver's license
- Must have a valid medical examiner's card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of one year Class A professional driving experience within last five years with an acceptable driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to meet physical job demands
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A driver's license
- Valid medical examiner's card
- Hazmat and airbrake certifications or ability to acquire as a condition of employment
- One year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in last three years or one conviction and one at-fault accident in last three years
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- May consider accredited driving school diploma or combination of driving and prior Airgas specific experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
Job Duties
- Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes
- Collect empty cylinders from customers
- Address customer inquiries, ensuring satisfaction
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle checks, noting issues and ensuring safety compliance
- Present a professional appearance and upkeep vehicle condition
- Safely load, deliver and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents ensuring compliance with Airgas safety standards and government regulations
- Work in warehouse or on dock as needed
