Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A driver’s license
  • Valid medical examiner’s card
  • Hazmat and airbrake certifications or ability to acquire
  • Minimum one year of Class A professional driving experience within last five years
  • Clean driving record with limited convictions and at-fault accidents
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years or older

Job Qualifications

  • Valid medical examiner’s card
  • Hazmat and airbrake certifications or ability to acquire them
  • At least one year of prior Class A professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Diploma from accredited driving school or combined driving and Airgas experience considered
  • Must be at least 21 years or older

Job Duties

  • Operate a Class A Hazmat vehicle delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hard goods along designated routes
  • Collect empty cylinders from customers and return them to plant or branch locations for refilling
  • Address customer inquiries and maintain excellent customer relations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations
  • Maintain load manifests and vehicle documents ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Ensure vehicle manifests, placards, cylinder labeling, and load nesting and strapping meet safety standards
  • Work in warehouse or dock as needed
