Job Qualifications

  • Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment is advantageous
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking techniques accurately
  • Strong attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques

Job Duties

  • Learns all wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
  • Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
  • Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
  • Prepares and cuts garnishes for wok line items
  • Labels all items in accordance with health department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and wok meetings
