Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience as a line cook or similar role is beneficial but not required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to learn and follow detailed cooking procedures
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adhere strictly to company recipes and plating guidelines

Job Duties

  • Learns all Wok recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung’s procedures
  • Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s recipes
  • Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s plating guidelines
  • Prepares and cuts garnishes for Wok line items
  • Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and Wok meetings
  • Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
  • Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all propriety information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
