Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role
- Culinary certification preferred
- Food safety certification preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
- Physical stamina and strength conducive to kitchen work
- Knowledge of health safety and labor regulations pertaining to food service environments
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience as a line cook or in a relevant culinary role
- Great attention to detail and creativity in food preparation
- High school diploma or equivalent culinary certification and food safety certification preferred
- In depth knowledge of sanitation principles food preparation baking techniques and nutrition
- Safe food handling certificate preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests management and co-workers
- Physical strength and stamina to endure long hours of standing and repetitive motions
Job Duties
- Be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and varied shifts
- Create and design new and unique menu items
- Assist the Executive Chef in the establishment of department budgets and adhere to budget guidelines
- Ensure all food and beverage products are prepared and served according to hotel standards
- Maintain cleanliness and excellent working condition of all kitchen equipment through inspections and preventive maintenance
- Fully understand and comply with all relevant health safety and labor regulations pertaining to kitchen operations associates and guests
- Plan prep set up and provide quality service for food production in designated outlets according to standards and plating specifications
- Maintain organization cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
