Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cooking or food preparation experience
- Valid food handling certificate
- Ability to work flexible hours including event schedules
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Basic knife skills
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous cook or prep cook experience
- Able to operate standard kitchen equipment including a chef knife
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management and guests
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Possess valid food handling certificate
Job Duties
- Provide high quality fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests
- Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements
- Participate as a team player with specific responsibilities related to preparation, service and delivery
- Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment
- Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
- Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking
- Portion, arrange and garnish food plates for delivery to guests
- Demonstrate excellent attendance
