Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and cooking procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Job Duties

  • Learns all noodle recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Din Tai Fung's procedures
  • Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking
  • Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Din Tai Fung's recipes
  • Plates the final product in accordance with Din Tai Fung's plating guidelines
  • Prepares and cuts garnishes for noodle line items
  • Labels all items in accordance with Health Department regulations and Din Tai Fung procedures
  • Attends monthly staff meetings and noodle meetings
  • Keeps all kitchen areas clean and sanitized
  • Organizes items within the walk-in coolers and freezers
  • Lifts/moves boxes, bags, chairs, and tables (up to 50 pounds)
  • Assists with regular deep cleaning of the kitchen
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all proprietary information, including but not limited to recipes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
