Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least six months of culinary experience
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • good communication skills
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights
  • willingness to adhere to Hilton’s values and quality standards

Job Qualifications

  • six months of culinary experience supporting high-volume operations
  • strong food safety knowledge
  • proficiency in knife skills
  • understanding of cooking temperatures
  • ability to work quickly and accurately
  • team player attitude
  • servsafe certification is a plus
  • previous hotel experience is an advantage

Job Duties

  • prepare, maintain and monitor quality control for hot food items including meat, fish, fowl, sauces, stocks and seasonings
  • prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • prepare guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen and ensure plates are clean and appetizing
  • practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
