Job Duties
- Know and understand every menu item including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
- Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
- Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
- Manage timing to ensure every ticket is prepared and served in an appropriate amount of time
- Stay focused on tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
- Assist others in prepping and readying stations when possible
- Keep workstation clean and stocked
- Practice safe knife handling and request training if needed
- Assist in putting away deliveries
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Respect co-workers including front of house staff
- Seek productive ways to utilize spare time
- Properly open and close the kitchen following checklists
- Report workplace issues to manager or assistant manager
- Arrive promptly in full uniform for all scheduled shifts and meetings
- Submit days off requests two weeks in advance and get approval
- Follow all policies in the employee handbook
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive guest experience
