Job Requirements

  • U.S. work authorization required
  • At least one year of kitchen experience preferred but not required
  • Basic math skills required
  • Must be able to add and subtract
  • Legible handwriting
  • Strong customer service and oral communication skills

Job Duties

  • Know and understand every menu item including portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules
  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served
  • Work closely with the Chef to provide absolute consistency on every plate
  • Manage timing to ensure every ticket is prepared and served in an appropriate amount of time
  • Stay focused on tasks during prime service hours and communicate consistently with co-workers
  • Assist others in prepping and readying stations when possible
  • Keep workstation clean and stocked
  • Practice safe knife handling and request training if needed
  • Assist in putting away deliveries
  • Lift up to 50 pounds
  • Respect co-workers including front of house staff
  • Seek productive ways to utilize spare time
  • Properly open and close the kitchen following checklists
  • Report workplace issues to manager or assistant manager
  • Arrive promptly in full uniform for all scheduled shifts and meetings
  • Submit days off requests two weeks in advance and get approval
  • Follow all policies in the employee handbook
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a positive guest experience
