Job Requirements

  • Previous cook experience preferably in a hotel or casual dining restaurant
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • exposure to high temperatures and kitchen equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • culinary school certification a plus
  • minimum one year of experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • proficiency in various cooking techniques
  • strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
  • excellent knife skills and food preparation techniques
  • ability to manage inventory efficiently
  • proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • experience in a high-volume kitchen environment preferred
  • experience with a variety of cuisines preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to established recipes and standards
  • maintain a clean and sanitary work environment adhering to all food safety regulations
  • accurately manage food inventory minimizing waste and ensuring sufficient supplies
  • employ a variety of cooking techniques including grilling, frying, sautéing to prepare diverse menu items
  • demonstrate excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation
  • work effectively as part of a team collaborating with other kitchen staff
  • manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and service demands
