Job Requirements

  • ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or move goods weighing up to 100 pounds
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use all kitchen equipment
  • ability to work in extreme temperature ranges
  • ability to operate in confined spaces
  • ability to frequently twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand, walk, talk, hear, see, and smile

Job Qualifications

  • hold a current food handler card
  • 3 years cooking experience preferred
  • broiler cooking experience preferred
  • basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations and service standards
  • good knowledge of broiler and sauté cooking fundamentals
  • understanding of sanitation standards
  • knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
  • basic math skills for recipe and portion measurement
  • basic English language skills
  • ability to follow written product labeling instructions
  • ability to operate beverage equipment

Job Duties

  • prepares daily preparation lists for production
  • reads and employs math skills to follow recipes
  • prepares all broiled and sautéed food items according to standard recipes and guest specifications
  • visually inspects and selects food items of the highest standard for menu preparation
  • checks and controls proper product storage and portion control
  • keeps refrigeration, equipment, storage, and working areas clean and in compliance with health regulations
  • maintains logs for cooling, heating, and temperature
  • adheres to company policies and safety procedures
  • reports unsafe conditions and incidents to management
  • utilizes protective equipment and follows fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • maintains neat and groomed appearance
  • assists other kitchen personnel as needed
  • performs related duties as requested by management
