Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Food Handler's Permit required
- Food service experience desired
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills necessary
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow instructions and safety practices
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays
- Must maintain personal hygiene and dress code requirements
- Must be dependable and detail oriented
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Food Handler's Permit
- Prefer training in ServSafe
- State sanitation certificate
- 3-4 years of advanced food service and cooking experience
- Experience operating kitchen equipment
- Intermediate to advanced knife skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation best practices
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow recipes and work independently
- Familiarity with special diet meal preparation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Dependable and organized with good follow through
- Ability to work under limited supervision
- Ability to work flexible hours including some holidays
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook to order foods requiring short to mid-level preparation time
- Operate grill station and prepare food a la carte
- Follow federal, state, and corporate food preparation standards
- Read and execute food orders accurately
- Provide high-quality customer service to residents and staff
- Use classical cooking techniques to produce batch goods
- Clean and sanitize workstations and kitchen equipment
- Receive inventory and properly store food supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Plate food with attention to presentation and garnish
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions
- Assist with set ups and break downs of serving lines
- Maintain compliance with company safety and risk policies
