Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 1-3 months related experience or training
- current California Food Handlers Card
- ability to comprehend simple instructions
- ability to understand and follow recipes
- proficiency in English communication both written and verbal
- capable of applying common sense to carry out written or oral instructions
- physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- able to work safely around moving machinery, sharp objects, and open flames
- flexible to work in different environmental conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combinations of education and experience
- current California Food Handlers Card
- ability to comprehend simple instructions and understand measurements
- able to read recipes
- ability to speak and understand English both written and verbally
- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Job Duties
- Wash, cut and/or cook vegetables, fruit, meat, fish, poultry and/or seafood to prepare for use
- measure and mix ingredients according to recipes to prepare menu items
- prepare plates to be served by placing appropriate menu items on plate
- use prep lists to determine production for the day
- complete all responsibilities of assigned position in accordance with company standards
- promote, establish, and maintain a safe environment for all guests and team members
- assist with receiving and storing all orders properly as needed
- maintain the organization and cleanliness of the restaurant
- be assigned to other and/or multiple departments besides your primary job code
- work on special projects or assist with other work necessary to the operations of the company
- comply with changes in job duties, reassignments, or additional job responsibilities
