Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years production kitchen experience with at least 1 year food preparation experience
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Basic cooking skills and creative food presentation skills
  • Ability to pass background checks including physical fitness, fingerprinting, and employment references
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policy as required by licensed residential care facility

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate
  • Minimum of 2 years production kitchen experience with at least 1 year in food preparation
  • Basic cooking skills and creative food presentation skills
  • Ability to speak, read and write English
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Review daily menu and work assignments with entree cook at beginning of shift
  • Prepare soups, salads, starches, vegetables, purees and desserts per production sheets
  • Set up and maintain all assigned food serving stations
  • Organize workload to ensure food is ready as scheduled
  • Store all foods properly, covered, labeled and dated
  • Monitor and report any safety, sanitation, or food handling concerns to supervisor immediately
  • Clean and sanitize all work areas and equipment throughout shift
  • Follow and complete all duties on daily sanitation and cleaning schedules as assigned or required
  • Comply with established uniform standards and practice good personal hygiene
  • Perform any other relevant duties as assigned
