Job Requirements

  • 3+ years in professional, high-volume food production or catering or equivalent education and experience
  • ability to pass a background check
  • culinary degree is a plus
  • must hold or obtain valid manager level sanitation certification within 30 days of employment
  • ability to work well as part of a team
  • understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions
  • ability to deal professionally with challenging customers
  • maintain excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • physical capability to work in a busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, hazards
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift/move objects up to 50 pounds
  • exposure to cleaning chemicals

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare, design, and execute menus
  • menu meetings with chapters
  • create high-quality meals with excellent presentation and flavor
  • send photos of meal presentations to management
  • maintain clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room
  • wash kitchen utensils, equipment, and dishes
  • ensure timely kitchen operation
  • oversee and train kitchen staff, manage schedules, assess performance
  • order supplies in accordance with budget and stock inventory
  • enforce sanitation and food safety standards
  • maintain professional and positive attitude
  • assist in planning and executing special events
  • communicate regularly with management
  • ensure staff compliance with policies
