Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience cooking in a restaurant
  • understanding of kitchen methods and procedures and proficiency in knife handling
  • ability to perform tasks with precision, speed, and attention to detail
  • ability to read and follow kitchen instructions
  • must be organized and self-motivated
  • ability to see, hear, and speak verbally and audibly
  • ability to ascend and descend stairs
  • able to sit and stand for extended periods
  • able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • able to bend, stoop, and kneel
  • able to work in various weather conditions if needed
  • able to work on a computer for extended periods
  • must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • must disclose pharmaceuticals that may impair job functions

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • 4+ years of line cook experience preferred
  • be a multitask master in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to recreate recipes per Hash Kitchen standards
  • knowledgeable about food safety standards and restaurant cleanliness
  • willing to go the extra mile to create the ultimate guest experience
  • knowledgeable about the menu and the varying products we carry

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized Hash Kitchen recipes
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely utilize a variety of utensils and kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established Hash Kitchen guidelines
  • properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • adhere to Hash Kitchen safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
