Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of two years experience in a social or recreation program or similar healthcare setting
  • food handlers card
  • knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with an elder population
  • knowledge of computers and data entry
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple tasks
  • must be 25 years or older to drive company vehicle

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • additional education preferred
  • minimum of two years experience in a social or recreation program or similar healthcare setting experience
  • food handlers card required upon hire
  • knowledge and experience caring for and interacting with an elder population
  • knowledge of computers, data entry, retrieval, output, etc.
  • ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies
  • able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the public
  • must be 25 years or older to drive company vehicle

Job Duties

  • develop and distribute a monthly activities calendar and newsletter for residents and family members
  • coordinate and schedule outside vendors and presenters
  • participate in community event planning with the marketing staff
  • prepare person centered activities as a description for the monthly calendar
  • create and update residents service plan preferences in their electronic health record
  • make routine visits to residents
  • plan, prepare and operate under the activities budget
  • participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies
  • attend quarterly Life Enrichment Director meetings
