Established in 1995 with a single skilled nursing facility in Hillsboro, Oregon, Avamere has expanded significantly over the years. It now operates 33 skilled nursing facilities across Oregon and Washington.

Expansion and Facilities

In February 2023, Avamere expanded its presence in Washington State by acquiring four facilities formerly operated by North American Health Care. These facilities are located in:

• Burien
• Issaquah
• Seattle
• Shoreline

They continue to offer post-acute care, short-term rehabilitation, and long-term care services.
