Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ food service experience
- At least six months’ experience as a lead preferred
- Current Food Handlers’ card
- Current class 12 mixologist permit
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Neat and professional in appearance
- Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years’ food service experience
- At least six months’ experience as a lead preferred
- Current Food Handlers’ card
- Current class 12 mixologist permit
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Warm, cordial, and enthusiastic attitude
- Understand local, state and federal regulations regarding OSHA laws and health and sanitation regulations
- Problem solving and reasoning skills
- Good judgment and ability to make sensible decisions under pressure
- Genuine interest in working with older adults
- Ability to work well with others
- Team-oriented
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Neat and professional in appearance
- Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written
Job Duties
- Provides oversight supervision for the wait staff members
- Oversees dining room operations in the absence of the supervisor and manager
- Provides residents and guests with superior customer service
- Seats residents and guests
- Takes their food orders and serves requested items graciously with courtesy
- Answers residents’ and guests’ menu questions
- Maintains safe and sanitary conditions for dining rooms and staff work stations
- Conducts and oversees cleaning assignments
- Makes on the spot corrections as needed
- Checks function sheets
- Ensures staff and facilities are prepared to support planned daily functions and special events
- Sets and clears dining room tables
- Maintains work stations
- Follows proper food handling techniques and maintain standards of quality for all dining areas
