Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ food service experience
  • At least six months’ experience as a lead preferred
  • Current Food Handlers’ card
  • Current class 12 mixologist permit
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Available to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Regular, dependable, and reliable attendance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Neat and professional in appearance
  • Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ food service experience
  • At least six months’ experience as a lead preferred
  • Current Food Handlers’ card
  • Current class 12 mixologist permit
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Warm, cordial, and enthusiastic attitude
  • Understand local, state and federal regulations regarding OSHA laws and health and sanitation regulations
  • Problem solving and reasoning skills
  • Good judgment and ability to make sensible decisions under pressure
  • Genuine interest in working with older adults
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Team-oriented
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Neat and professional in appearance
  • Excellent English communications skills both verbal and written

Job Duties

  • Provides oversight supervision for the wait staff members
  • Oversees dining room operations in the absence of the supervisor and manager
  • Provides residents and guests with superior customer service
  • Seats residents and guests
  • Takes their food orders and serves requested items graciously with courtesy
  • Answers residents’ and guests’ menu questions
  • Maintains safe and sanitary conditions for dining rooms and staff work stations
  • Conducts and oversees cleaning assignments
  • Makes on the spot corrections as needed
  • Checks function sheets
  • Ensures staff and facilities are prepared to support planned daily functions and special events
  • Sets and clears dining room tables
  • Maintains work stations
  • Follows proper food handling techniques and maintain standards of quality for all dining areas
