Emerald Heights is a nonprofit senior living community located in Redmond, Washington, dedicated to offering an active, maintenance-free lifestyle for older adults. Established in the early 1990s, it has become a cornerstone of the local area.

Continuum of Care

As a Life Care community, Emerald Heights offers a range of on-site long-term health services, including assisted living, skilled nursing care, and memory support. The community has maintained an A- rating from Fitch Ratings for 13 consecutive years, underscoring its financial stability.

Expansion and Growth

In 2024, Emerald Heights completed a $63 million expansion with the addition of the Courtyard building, which introduced 34 new independent living apartments.

The three-story building features six apartment designs, such as one-bedroom, one-bedroom with a den, two-bedroom, and two-bedroom with a den models. Apartment sizes range from 826 to 1,764 square feet.

The expansion also added an underground parking structure, an entry plaza, shared outdoor spaces, and meeting areas on each floor for social gatherings.

Future Plans

Emerald Heights is planning a $55 million assisted living expansion called FirView, which will add 54 one-bedroom units along with dining spaces, activity rooms, an outdoor patio, and a sky-bridge connecting the main buildings.

This project is scheduled for completion in early 2025.
