Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
- Ability to frequently walk and stand
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
- Ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners and pricing guns
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use ladders occasionally
- Ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits and training meetings
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise
- Tolerance for exposure to strong scents and fragrances
- Ability to work in occasional outside weather conditions and on wet floor surfaces
- Ability to handle household and industrial cleaning solutions occasionally
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized store environment
- Assist in merchandising the store to retain customer excitement
- Rotate products to create eye-catching displays
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are maintained
- Operate cash register and scanner to process purchases
- Assist customers with self-checkout processes
- Clean store, take out trash, dust and mop floors
- Open and close the store under direction
- Perform additional duties in absence of store leaders
