Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred
  • effective communication skills
  • understanding of safety policies
  • ability to follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
  • ability to perform basic math calculations
  • ability to operate cash register
  • knowledge of cash handling and safety policies
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 40 pounds frequently and 55 pounds occasionally
  • ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel frequently
  • ability to use equipment such as hand-held scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, dollies and carts
  • ability to open and close store under guidance
  • willingness to drive own vehicle for bank deposits and training attendance
  • ability to work in fast-paced and moderately noisy environments
  • occasional exposure to various cleaning chemicals and outside weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • understanding of safety policies and practices
  • ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
  • ability to perform cash register functions
  • knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
  • knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • six months of supervisory experience or related experience/training preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
  • model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
  • maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
  • assist in merchandising the store to be appealing and retain customer excitement
  • rotate products following company merchandising guidelines to create eye-catching displays
  • complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
  • ensure the store condense and reset standards are consistently maintained
  • follow company policies and procedures
  • operate cash register and scanner to process customer purchases
  • assist customers with self-checkout process
  • clean the store including taking out trash, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and stockrooms
  • open and close the store under specific direction
  • perform additional duties in the absence of store leadership
