Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory or related experience preferred
- Ability to perform cash register operations
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and handle merchandise
- Ability to operate equipment like hand-held scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, dollies and carts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Availability to open and close stores as required
- Ability to follow company policies and procedures consistently
- Ability to drive own vehicle to bank for deposits and attend occasional training
- Must be able to work in environments with occasional exposure to strong scents, wet floors, and cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training preferred
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed the customer’s expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees
- Assist in merchandising the store in a manner that is appealing and retains customer excitement
- Rotate product using company merchandising guidelines to create eye-catching displays
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities for superior shopping experience
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are consistently maintained
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Operate cash register and itemize customer purchases, collect payments and provide change
- Assist customers with merchandise and self-checkout process
- Clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping, and restroom maintenance
- Open and close the store under direction of store leadership
- Perform additional duties in absence of Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader
