Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training preferred
- Ability to perform frequent walking and standing
- Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, and carts
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 55 pounds
- Ability to climb using a ladder occasionally
- Ability to drive own vehicle to bank and training meetings
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise
- Tolerance to exposure to strong scents, outside weather, wet floors, and cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customers expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees
- Assist in merchandising the store in an appealing manner to retain customer excitement
- Rotate product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are consistently maintained
- Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and communications
- Operate cash register and scanner to itemize, total purchases, collect payment, make change and bag merchandise
- Assist customers with self-checkout process at multiple registers
- Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, clean restroom and stockroom, and set up sidewalk displays
- Open and close the store under direction in absence of Store Team Leader
- Perform additional duties as needed in absence of Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader
