Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training preferred
- Ability to perform frequent walking and standing
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop and kneel to stock merchandise and run checkout stations
- Ability to handle merchandise and use equipment such as hand-held scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, dollies, and carts
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
- Occasional climbing using a ladder
- Ability to drive own vehicle to bank and training meetings
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels
- Exposure to strong scents, outdoor weather, wet floor surfaces, and household or industrial cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory or related experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed the customers expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment that delights customers and employees
- Assist in merchandising the store to create appealing displays
- Rotate product to create eye-catching displays to drive sales
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities to maintain a superior customer shopping experience
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are maintained consistently
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Operate cash register and scanner to complete purchases and assist customers
- Assist customers with self-checkout at multiple register terminals
- Clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms and stockroom
- Open and close the store under direction of store leadership
- Perform additional duties as needed in absence of store leadership
