Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience or training preferred
- Ability to walk and stand frequently
- Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel frequently
- Ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners, pricing guns, box cutters, and carts
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 55 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders occasionally
- Ability to drive own vehicle to the bank and attend training meetings
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise
- Exposure to strong scents and fragrances
- Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions
- Occasional exposure to wet floors and cleaning solutions
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
- Assist in merchandising the store appealingly to retain customer excitement
- Rotate products following company merchandising guidelines to create eye-catching displays
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities to ensure a superior shopping experience
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are maintained to provide a clutter-free environment
- Follow company policies and procedures as outlined in manuals and communications
- Operate cash register and scanner to process purchases, collect payments, and assist customers
- Assist customers in the self-checkout process at multiple terminals
- Clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and stockrooms
- Set up sidewalk displays
- Open and close the store under leadership direction
- Perform additional duties as needed in the absence of store leadership
