Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory experience or related experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret merchandise guides
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to operate cash register
- Willingness to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 55 pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and store presentation
- Ability to drive to bank for deposits and attend training
- Flexibility to work varied schedules
Job Qualifications
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Understanding of safety policies and practices
- Ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages
- Ability to perform cash register functions
- Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies and practices
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of supervisory or related experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
- Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
- Assist in merchandising the store to appeal to customers and retain excitement
- Rotate product following merchandising guidelines to create eye-catching displays
- Complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure store condense and reset standards are consistently maintained
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Operate cash register and scanner to itemize purchases, collect payments, make change and bag merchandise
- Assist customers with merchandise as necessary
- Assist customers with self-checkout process at multiple register terminals
- Clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and stockrooms
- Help set up sidewalk displays
- Open and close the store under direction
- Perform additional duties in absence of Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader
