Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • six months of supervisory experience or related experience and training preferred
  • ability to walk and stand frequently
  • ability to bend, stoop and kneel frequently
  • ability to handle merchandise and equipment such as scanners and pricing guns
  • ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 55 pounds occasionally
  • ability to occasionally climb ladders
  • ability to drive own vehicle for bank deposits and training meetings
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise
  • tolerance for exposure to strong scents, weather conditions, wet floors, and cleaning solutions

Job Qualifications

  • Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • understanding of safety policies and practices
  • ability to read and follow planogram and merchandise presentation guides
  • ability to perform mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • ability to operate cash registers
  • knowledge of cash, facility, and safety control policies and practices
  • knowledge of cash handling procedures such as cashier accountability and deposit control
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • supervisory experience or related training preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations
  • model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience
  • maintain a safe, clean and well-organized store environment
  • assist in merchandising the store appealingly to retain customer excitement
  • rotate products following company merchandising guidelines to create eye-catching displays
  • complete daily and weekly cleaning responsibilities for a superior shopping experience
  • ensure store condense and reset standards are maintained consistently
  • follow company policies and procedures
  • operate cash registers and scanners, assist customers with purchases and bag items
  • assist customers in self-checkout processes
  • clean the store including trash removal, dusting, mopping floors, and cleaning restrooms and stockrooms
  • set up sidewalk displays
  • open and close the store under direction
  • perform additional duties in absence of Store Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader
